Guidance Department

Our Guidance Department is here to help students with all their current and future education needs. We work with students to plan their coursework, keeping in mind the students’ post-high school goals and aspirations. Our guidance counselor and graduation coach have a great history in meeting the needs of individual students and helping them get their college plans on track.

College and Career Corner

Located in the guidance office, the College and Career Corner houses three computers that are available to students to do career explorations and career and scholarship searches. Students may also use the online resources to practice for the GHSGT, EOCT, and CRCT. Catalogs from colleges and tech schools are available for review or checkout. We also have ACT and SAT registration and review materials available in this area, as well as numerous publications about careers, success in college, financial aid, and more!

AP Classes

Advanced Placement classes are college-level courses offered by trained high school teachers in the regular high school setting and guarantee rigor in our classrooms. AP students take the AP exams in May of each year, and students who score well on the exams can earn college credit. We generally offer the following AP courses:

  • AP Government/Politics (U.S.)
  • AP Calculus
  • AP English Literature
  • AP Biology
